The hotel is very easy to find and not far from the attractions in Edinburugh it was very clean but the only problems i found was when I returned to the hotel for my evening meal I found that the restraunt was closed at 8pm when it stated it was open till 10pm and the breakfast wasnt served until 9am the following day which meant that I was charged for something that i hadent actually recived due to checking out before that time |

When I arrived for chack-in I was disappointed as it was obviously not as smart as the photos and descriptions suggested. The hotel has been renovated in a modern style but it is still tatty in places. I arrived 5 minutes after the restaurant had closed and was initially told that there was no chance of getting a meal but the staff relented and I had a good meal at a very reasonable price. The in-room information on room service is very misleading - after 9 you might get a sandwich if the night porter can make you one! Overall, I would say the hotel really tries - staff are friendly and helpful - and it was reasonable value for money. |
