The room was very warm overnight and the bed was quite soft but other than that it was very enjoyable stay. |

Location of hotel is very good, York city is within walking distance. The first room we were offered was over looking the train station and was very noisy, we asked to change and were given a better room in a quieter part of the hotel. While the hotel looks very impressive from the outside, inside is somewhat shabby. |

The hotel was easy to find and very well located for all the attractions in York. We had a room at the back of the hotel which at first glance was a nice room wth everything you would expect from a four star hotel...apart from air conditioning! I have never stayed at a four star hotel before that did not have this facility so we slept with the window open, however and be prepared to rise at 5.20am as this is when the tannoy for the train station begins its relentless bellow for the remaiinder of the day. |
