Attractive room, nice and spacious. Ceiling fan not really adequate during very hot weather as our room had two large windows facing the sun. Slightly disappointed by selection of non-cooked food for breakfast and quality of evening meal didn't match its cost. Would have liked larger bath towels. Staff were pleasant and helpful. Would stay again if cheaper rate available.

Ideally situated for the town centre, walkable in 8-10 mins. Very friendly staff, efficient considering they have to multi-task. We were disappointed with the menu, no salad or anything at all remotely diet friendly. One thing we did not like as residents was the 10% service charge added to the meal in the restaurant. Strange that we had a side plate but it was removed once we had ordered, no roll or anything? Breakfast OK but why do establishments serve poor quality fruit juice? The rooms were cosy and very clean, however the shower was a waste of space, noisy and wouldn't get hot enough without cutting out. Was forced to use bath instead which was difficult due to mobility problems. Fitted radio had seen better days, difficult to adjust volume, crackling or nothing, needs replacing. TV reception brilliant. Our general opinion is that the Stuart House Hotel is overpriced, certainly as far as far as the food is concerned. Bit disappointing.
