The hotel was very easy to find and I was immediately made to feel very welcome. After a long day of travelling the cup of tea was just what the doctor ordered! The hotel was spotless and the room very comfortable. The bathroom was huge, although the colour of the suite might not be to everyone's taste. Breakfast was excellent and I only wish I could have stayed longer. It is also good to hear the hotel is investing in protecting the environment. I would definitely stay here again. |

The hotel was exactly as expected, very quiet with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. we were made to feel very welcome and offered tea as soon as we arrived. The hotel is slightly isolated with the nearest pub being a 25 minute walk away, but the country roads are quiet, and plenty of wild life to be seen. I particularly found the advice regarding local places of interest to visit extreemly useful, for example we were provided with information about places to park that we would not have considered for ourselves. there are also OS maps available to use. If I returned I would definitely take our bikes because of the close proximity of the Tarka trail. The only downside is that evening meals are not served in the hotel. |

although a bit out of the way (you'll need a car) this was an excellent B&B for access to the north devon coast. breakfast was very good, and there is a large and quiet lounge with lots of facilities (books, games and bar). very helpful and friendly. no meals other than breakfast but lots of restaurants around (none within walking distance though). the local pub is good and especially recommended is bensons in appledore for the best, reasonably priced, fish i've had in a long time. |
