An impressive Victorian hotel nestling in the centre of Harrogate and adjacent to the Harrogate International Centre. Set in 12 acres of award-winning landscaped gardens, the Barcelo Harrogate Majestic Hotel offers a traditional setting for a relaxed stay. The Majestic has 167 en suite rooms including 28 premium rooms which are available at a supplement. All rooms are non-smoking and are comfortable and very spacious. Many have lovely views over the gardens and town. All rooms and public areas have wi-fi internet access. The hotel has an excellent health and leisure club that includes a swimming pool, spa, sauna, solarium, beauty salon and nail bar, outdoor tennis court and fully air-conditioned gym. Relax or energise your stay, you choose. The Restaurant offers a choice of excellent cuisine and wines to match. Alternatively you can choose to have a drink and a light meal in the Regency Bar.Check in time is from 2.00pm and check out 11am. Early check-in or later checkout are both available on request with a supplement. Please contact the hotel reservations team direct for details. Before reaching the A1(M), leave the A1 following the signposts for Ripon and the A61. Continue past Ripon and follow the signs for Harrogate. Just before the town centre, the hotel can be found on the left.
From A1(M) south: Leave the A1(M) at Wetherby onto the A661 following signs for Harrogate. Follow signs for the town centre. At the traffic lights at the bottom of Parliament Street continue straight ahead. The hotel is located on the right hand side, just behind the Harrogate International Centre.
From M1 south:From the M1 follow signs for the A1/North - which will leads onto the new A1/M1 link road. Follow directions above (from A1(M) south).

Stayed here for a friends wedding. Hotel is tired and in need of a refurb. Rooms are good size but lacking aircon (and it was v. hot in Harrogate this weekend), v. old and worn bathrooms, and amazing small beds, however staff are v. friendly and helpful. Little pricey for what you get though (we paid £120 for 1 night).

We stayed in an absolute filthy room,we had dirty trays under the bed and bed bug detectors on our urine stained mattresses,we asked for our room to be changed but there was none available,we asked for them to find us another hotel to no avail,we tried to get toast for breakfast and couldn't even get that.this was to cost us £300 however after the head of house keeping saw the filth and agreed with us we did not pay a penny.we were extremely disappointed with this hotel.

The hotel was sufficient for my needs, however some of the elements of the hotel may need a little facelift (creaky lifts etc). Other than that, breakfast was good value and location was spot on, close to main strip in Harrogate.
