The room was nice if not very small. The bar staff had trouble understanding my request for a glass of White wine... The wine was served in a warm bottle and the girl looked at me confused when I asked for a glass??? she didn't seem to know where anything was so we gave it a miss. I would not rate this as a 4* hotel! It is more like a 2* but was okay for the price paid |

All fine, no complaints at all. Wouldn't have been happy to pay the full advertised rate per night, but with the discount via LateRooms making it the same price as Travelodge and Express it was well worth it. Nice and easy to walk to Victoria and my course at Grovsenor Place. Room and double bed would have been "cosy" for two but as I was on my own it was all excellent. No air con but very high ceiling meant that the room was perfect temperature wise. |

This is a great hotel if you are in the area on business. Obviously you get what you pay for but for £125 for a single room (B&B) it was good value compared to other hotels in the area (there was a big trade fair on and many hotels were full). I got a decent sized double room even though I only paid for a single. It had a pod type shower room with a decent shower. The room was clean with everything needed for a two day stay. My colleague got a single room which was "too small to swing a cat" but luckily he'd left his cat at home and I paid for the rooms! Some of the decoration to the corridors is "work in progress" and a bit scruffy. The reception area and bar is quite smart for this level of hotel. The breakfast restaurant was fine - not the best breakfast I've ever had but warm and edible. The circular breakfast tables for two are ridiculously small - it would help if staff cleared away cereal bowls etc. to give you more space. My top tip is to get some small square tables (700 x 700) that give a bit more space and can be pushed together to form large tables. Location wise the hotel is great. It is about 10 mins walk from Victoria Station although Pimlico is the nearest tube station (5mins max). One minor criticism is that the reception staff could smile more - they were very efficient but lacking any discernable personality! Overall I would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to a business traveller on a budget. |
