One word - appalling. For £120 you would expect a bit more than just a sea view! The room seemed to be kitted out with beds/furniture/linen that could have only come from a car boot sale or a second hand store and with hardly any guests staying there I would have expected the room to be ready but they had to remove the cot when we arrived. If you are going when there might be a cold spell I would also highly recommend packing some thermals or take a fan heater! - the room was freezing and we spent the first 4 hours literally huddled round the radiator with us eventually going out in the car for a trip to warm up. The duvets are paper thin and although there were extra blankets it was still cold. With the poor standard of the room I would recommend that the owner at least provide a breakfast (even if it is continental style) within the cost to compensate because a further £8 per head is just adding insult to injury! My advice on this one - keep the £120 - buy a tent, some sleeping bags and a camping stove - set up camp on the grass in front of the hotel and you'll probably be just as warm, still have a sea view, can look forward to breakfast and still save yourself £20! |

A very comfortable hotel in a beautiful setting. Owners and staff were very pleasant and need to keep up the good work to get where they want to be. |

Everthing was very good; customer service, cleanliness, etc. There was only an inconvenience; how to arrive there. We received very good indications by mail so we didn't have problems to arrive there from airport but we found that we had to take taxi each time to arrive to Kirkcaldy Train Station. We were there on Sunday and although we were told about the bus, it has never appears (I guess it has a short timetable on the weekends.) |
