We arrived from the airport around 11:30, expecting to have to wait until 2pm to book in but the room was ready. We were given a gorgeous room, (room 401), in the old part of the building. The spacious room was beautiful, with a four-poster bed, lovely furniture & furnishings, a garden view and so quiet & peaceful. |

On Arrival the reception staff were very friendly and made you so welcome, working in the tourism trade this was a joy to experience as it is lacking in most hotels, however on check out the experience was the opposite there was a problem with my booking they had not received late rooms confirmation, on arrival they said they would sort it however on check out they wanted me to sort it. It was the overall attitude at check out, no mention of had you a nice stay was everything ok, the receptionist attitude was terrible, very blunt, no smile really stroppy unfortuntely this one person gave a negative impact on the overall experience. |

Lovely hotel in a gorgeous location, right on the beach - we spotted it from our plane as we flew into Dublin and were very excited! Rooms to a high standard with bathrobes etc. We were supposed to have a room overlooking the garden but we actually had a beach/sea view! Very touching to see locals coming down to the long sandy beach on their horses (and in one case, a horse and cart!) for an early morning run! We treated ourselves to the breakfast - lots of choice and good quality. Don't opt to get the train into Dublin (they say it's a 10/15 min walk but it's about 25 mins to the station!) as there's a bus stop right at the front door of the hotel that takes you into Dublin centre within 40/45 mins. Great location if you have an early morning flight back home, are a golfer or want a break with a balance of city time and relaxed time. Definitely worth a visit. |
