we were pleased with the booking but found the restaurant rather expensive for what was on offer - but nice all the same! Stayed over on our way to Gatwick airport, very convenient. |

The Running Horses was the perfect Inn that we had been looking for. Ideal little Inn in an Ideal village overlooking the perfect country church. |

On arrival being shown to our room by the porter we were asked 'what are these people walking up the stairs and then my fiancee was asked - who are you !!', not a way we would be expected to be greeted by the manager, very snobby and unfriendly. We were not told by the porter what time breakfast was served therefore missed it. Room was noisy with creeking floors and banging doors.Food in restaurent very good. |

The Hotel and a la carte restaurant resturant are superb, very hospitable staff and extremely helpful. The rooms are supposedly all doubles however when booking two doubles with late rooms we arrived to find one of the rooms (epsom room) was smaller and also a twin. This created alot of difficulties between ourselves and the manager. But fortunately he was very amenable and understanding and will be discussing this problem when booking with late rooms. The hotel and dinner is a must, it's simply gorgeous, and if having a choice of rooms to book (all named after racecourses) Ascot is the stunner with a amazing four poster bed. |

This is a little gem of a pub / hotel /restarurant in a wonderully picturesque part of England . The place gets busy but never feels packed or uncomfortable . The staff are extremely nice and helpful and willling to oblige.. A wonderfully stress free environment with no kids allowed ! HURRAH! the only neg point is that even though the food is fresh and beautifully cooked its rather plain. i ordered thai fishcakes and even though it looked the proper thing it rather lacked authentic flavour. One other point i that my friend ordred bresaola as a starter thinking he`d get a full plate of bresaola as is the norm, but instead got two slices with noodles, very odd though non the less a good sized portion if u like noodles. The restaurant has wonderful linen and a great wine list and was packed the whole time of our weekend stay. if you want sandwich as opposed to a full meal i can recommend the sandwixhes, theyre really very good. B`fast in the morn is also wonderful. The room was clean though could do with a new mattress and the TV was tiny and reception wasnt great. the view from our bedroom looked onto a beautoful old church which is directly opposite the Running Horses. The place is wonderful and i defintiely recommend you stay there. |
