Very picturesque property in a lovely location but very tired and dated, ok at a cheap price, food was not very good and over-priced and very in-experienced service. |

The directions were good and we had no problems finding the place, despite arriving late evening with poor visibility. We had a warm welcome and were shown to a super room with loads of character (4 poster bed was really comfy and the jacuzzi bath great; the fresh fruit, chocolates and complimentary bottles of water were a nice touch). Breakfast was terrific - the bacon and black pudding was excellent, the orange freshly squeezed. We also had salmon and scrambled egg another morning. Whilst not quite so filling for a day's walking, the presentation and taste were knock-out. Definitely be going back, especially at LateRoom prices... need to see if the evening menu is as good as breakfast! |

The hotel was a little tied, and in desparate need of refurbishment. Rooms a little small. Better hotels in the area in this price range |
