Shabby hotel, needs total overhaul, Food very poor standard. There was an 18th birthday party in the function room and the hotel had booked me into the room next door insisting that wouldnt be able to hear the noise. The receptionist was very good and moved me straight away. The food left alot to be desired and for the price, it was poor value for money. |

I have stayed at the hotel several times as it is convenient for the office and it is the cheapest hotel in the area, especially when including breakfast. The rooms I have stayed in have always been clean, warm and comfortable. But the hotel is in desperate need of a complete refurb, and the bar area could be a bit more accommodating. It was probably once a really nice building. The staff though are all very friendly, but could do with training. I found the quality of the food in the evening to be very good, especially for the price and offers excellent value. The breakfast isn’t too bad, and has always been hot, but then I have always been down early. Not quite certain what the brand now is. The hotel is a Stop Over branded hotel, Part of The Real Hotel Company, which apparently Quality Hotels is part of, confusing. The hotel though has a certain charm about it. After staying there a few times, you would understand why. I would recommend it to a friend as it does offer excellent value. |
