The food was awful, only had breakfast for this reason. The room was very overpriced, I stay in a lot of hotels. It took ten minutes to get to my room from reception, up and downstairs without a lift carrying bags, without any offer of help made it really hard work. I commented on the price of the room as I paid for a superior room and the foreign guy on reception just shrugged his shoulders and made no further comment. The room was very clean. |

The food was excellent, but the quality of the room was my concerne. It was freezing,it is an old inn and they only had the old style rads which were as warm as a lighted match so be very weary if staying in this hotel in winter |

Overall a good service but hotel was let down by some minor issues. Room service is very limited and they did not have what I wanted from the 5 choices which was odd for a fairly large hotel. |

My girlfriend and I stayed here as it was close to where we needed to be. On arrival we were assigned a double room that was a long way away from the check in desk. This may have been the only room available but even so it was a long trek with heavy bags. The beds are fitted with sheets and blankets and not duvets which is the norm on most hotels I stay in worldwide. The heating in the room (water radiators) did not work despite the maintenance man looking at it. As I was leaving the next day (my partner staying) we requested a room change as the room assigned was on the ground floor, a long way from reception and with a window onto the car park which was open to the main road and so she felt uncomfortable staying there on her own. The hotel changed her to a first floor room but the heating in there was not brilliant either. |
