A delightfull rural setting - perfect antidote for those faceless shoeboxes passing off as luxury hotels.
A family run establishmant with great personal service. Extensive grounds to sit and walk in - weather permitting.
The food is good quality and reasonably priced with 3 courses comming in @ around £22.00. At least one real ale in the bar and a good wine list.
I would not hesitate to recommend this place to stay, especially in the quieter mid week times. A real gem of a place for the well travelled business person. Female friendly as well.

A very enjoyable stay at this hotel. Unfortunatley the room we were in had a problem with the boilers so we had no hot water on our last night. The staff did offer us an alternative room but we considered this to be to much of an issue so we just used the shower facilities in the alternative room, which what far below the standard of our booked room. Also the hotel refunded 1 nights room charges after a little bit of discussion.
The special menu on offer stayed the same for 3 nights which was disappointing.
The hotel is in need of refurbishment but having said this our stay was enjoyable.

We booked a night at the hotel for our anniversary and stayed in room 6. It was absolutely beautiful - the description on the website was really accurate and we got exactly what we were hoping for (enormous room with a 4 poster bed, huge jacuzzi bath, large bay windows with a beautiful view). The staff were very frienly and helpful. We had dinner at the hotel and were really impressed with the quality of the food. Overall, it is a really unique, romantic and beautiful old house that I would highly recommend.
