Hotel was in the centre of Stratford so very convenient . We ate dinner and breakfast in town. Our rooms were at the back of the building towards the river and we were woken up at 4.25 am by the street cleaners. The rooms were very hot but the hotel is undergoing refurb which includes air con(not wired up when we were there). guests can use the leisure facilities in the Alceston manor over the road which were very nice. Staff all very friendly. |

Although not advertised as a feature, the air conditioning didn't work in our room. This was due to a recent refurbishment and the relevant work not being completed. In most situations I wouldn't have minded too much but this on one of the only hot summer days we get in England and the room was stiflingly hot. I asked reception about the possibility of having a fan but one didn't materialise - but I was offered a supply of ice! |
