Beautifully situated at the side of the lake, its worth paying extra for a lake view room as the view is stunning. The hotel has been renovated to a very high standard and the room was impeccable. The restaurant, again along with a stunning view of the lake, served lovely food with great service. If i had to give one negative comment it would be that you had to pay extra for a cooked breakfast, which when we had already paid £240.00 for one night , was a bit cheeky!! Overall i would recommend this hotel and would stay here again

We have stayed in numerous hotels in the area including Storrs Hall and The Linthwaite, the room we stayed in at The Old England did not compare, it was shabby and nothing special. However the view was amazing and the service was of a high standard. Having previously stayed in a feature room we were left feeling a little disapointed.
