Room was a bit small & hot (although it was mid summer), but had everything we needed (inc. tea, coffee & biscuits). The bar area was excelent and and the staff very helpfull. We were only using the hotel as a base and didn't eat there except for breakfast which was good and very filling (although I'm glad it was included in the room as it would not have been worth nearly £14 each. however, for the price we paid through late rooms it was very good value for money, probably he best budget hotel in the area. If you are looking for a good hotel on a budget (£60 is very budget near edinburgh during festival) where you can get up, get breakfast, go out and then have a drink before going to bed I would recommend this hotel. P.s. Buses from edinburgh run all day and about every hour after midnight till theregular service starts again about 5:00am

Several of the reviews I read prior to staying comment on the size of the rooms so I was expecting a small room. I stayed on my own in a twin room which for the price £60 was excellent, however it would have been crowded with two people.

The hotel was easy to find, and the welcome we received was excellent. The room was very clean and tidy and the staff went out of their way to help with any problems. Food was good and well presented, the only criticism being that there was too much!! All
in all, our stay was very enjoyable and we will certainly stay here again.
