Leasowe Castle offers a perfect combination of style, comfort and elegance in a tranquil setting with 6 acres of grounds and overlooking Leasowe Golf Course and the sea beyond. The Castle dates back to 1592, and was built by Ferdinand 2nd Heir to the English Throne, to allow him to watch horse racing on the Meols sands. Lawton Hotels Ltd. have owned the Castle since November 2000, since when a programme of sympathetic refurbishment has taken place including new bedrooms, function suites and extensive landscaping. A luxury leisure centre will open in March 2004. ".....we over look nothing but the sea!"

From M53 take Junction 1 to the roundabout, and take 1st left onto dual carriageway signposted Wallasey/New Brighton. Take the 1st sliproad on the left signposted Moreton/Hoylake where you can only turn left onto dual carriageway - A551 Leasowe Road. Leasowe Castle Hotel is approx 1 3/4 miles on the right, opposite reeds lane.From Liverpool, take the Wallasey Tunnel , 2nd exit after the tunnel exit (Junction 1 on M53) and turn right onto sliproad.

Attended a wedding,location was very nice,friendly staff always on hand to help,only minus point was the standard rooms were on the small size for the price you pay,but overall we enjoyed a pleasant stay.

We chose this hotel mainly for two things. 1. It is close to New Brighton, where we were going to a rally the next day. 2. There is plenty of room in the carpark. We had two vehicles and a trailer. We arrived at the hotel at 8.30pm on a Friday night and decided to dine there. The restaurant couldn't accomodate us until 9.30pm due to an ongoing buffet. We had a look at the menu in reception and didn't fancy any of the options offered, which the receptionist picked up on right away and told us we could order whatever we wanted, within reason, and she would call the chef to ask if it was possible. There was no problem whatsoever and the food was delicious. We were also very impressed by the waiter who, although it was closing time, couldn't have done enough for us. The only down side of our visit was the fact that, although there were quite a few rally people wanting a cooked breakfast early on the Saturday morning, we could only get cereal.

Poor bar area, hotel looks a bit shabby, good location overlooking sea and golf course.
