The hotel itself was fine but definitely overpriced in comparison to other hotels I've stayed in for teh same price. You are definitely paying for location near The Mailbox than anything else. There was a nice view of the canals from my room & surprisingly, the noise from the bars directly under my window was minimal but it was a Tuesday evening. The main noise came from the massive building site right next to the hotel - The Mailbox redevelopment extension that the hotel fails to mention on its site! After flying very early, I tried to nap midday & failed because the drilling was too loud! The lounge area etc. was very Holiday Inn. £90 is def. too much for this hotel & the facilities it offers.

Location - Good for station, conference centre, Mailbox and town centre. However, not the prettiest part of town and being next to a busy roundabout somewhat noisy.
Room - Modern design and pleasant. Included 'free' WiFi excellent. Could not obviously find light excluding curtains, also air con a little noisy but I am sensitive to that. Comfortable enough bed.
Staff - Helpful, pleasant and unobtrusive.
Food - Very good breakfast, especially the porridge and the small fruit 'smoothies' which have no banana - excellent !
Costs - They obviously are very flexible with their pricing in response to demand - I got good value for Monday/Tuesday but could not afford to stay on the Wednesday when they were more booked up and the price doubled or more....
