Breakfast @ £17.50 and it was only lukewarm on hot plates.
First time in a 4Star hotel with no draught beer - manager has decided not to stock it any more!
Drinks and food overpriced - two double whiskies for more than the price of a bottle in Sainsburys
20p extra on the price of a newspaper
Credit card Surcgarge of £2
This Group is obviously out to squeeze every last penny - Next time I will use Marriott, they are much better value.

The hotel is very close to the centre of Stratford: just a short walk across the bridge, and the free parking is a real bonus as parking is not easy to come by in the town. The bar and restaurant are in the old part of the building, but most of the rooms are in a very bland new building. The room was fairly small, but clean, comfortable and in a good state of repair. Free use of the pool (and gym which we didn't make use of) is also a strong point. We had dinner in the restaurant one night, and while my husband's meal was very nice, I was extremely disappointed by the vegetarian option. It was tiny, and quite poor. Despite the incredibly over attentive waiter commenting on the fact that my meal wasn't up to much quite a few times, they still charged me the full (not cheap) rate for the meal. We didn't bother with the extravagently priced breakfast (£17.50 per person).

Original room was shocking but on complaint we were moved so they redeemed themselves.
