Great and comfortable hotel. Not sure I agree with the money spent on the re-furb. The dining room is now all dark and gothic......I am sure it is meant to be uber cool....but with vlack walls and dark curtains its just depressing...sorry...doesnt do it for me.
The dining room was wonderful before. It didnt need changing.....what a waste of money.....
The other issue I have is that whilst I dont mind people employing Eastern European staff ( they are very friendly and hard working) I dont expect to check in a hotel of this standard and find no irish staff at all.......ratrher bizarre its like staying in an eastern European country........
Sometimes it was quite hard to make them understand English...we asked for a kettle on check in......it never ever arrived...I just guess they didnt understansd what we were saying....
Anyway, its a great location and it is still a great place to be. Dublin is awesome.

would recommend they work on the sound proofing of rooms during the planned refurbishment and we Irish like our tea (each room has a nespresso machine for coffee only) otherwise not a bad hotel at all. great location and good food. parking was €20 extra no other Dublin hotel charges for this to the best of my knowledge.

Room was excellent. Staff all very helpful. Not cheap at €415 room only for the night but nothing in Dublin is cheap these days.

Good location but very noisy. Generally friendly staff but charged for breakfasts and bar bills we did not accrue. When queried we found that the originals acutally had no signatures or even someone elses signature! We have to claim this back as they would not refund at reception.
Ancillaries ridiculously expensive and offered poor value for money but room very clean and comfortable as was whole building.
