Although very nice, I thought it was over priced. |

I thought the hotel was fantastic. I did not have breakfast, so cannot comment. Would definitely come back and also recommend to others. |

If you want to stay right in the village then this Hotel is the most central and there is ample parking. This is why we booked but alas the busy village becomes as dead as a dodo in the evenings so if you want some life you might be better in a larger town like Lymington. Our room 106 was very large at the front and traffic noise not as bad as some reviews indicated. The building is handsome and could be a gorgeous boutique hotel, the reception and brasserie area being quite charming apart from the dreaded chintz carpets. Where it goes wrong is in the time warp room decor which is so chintzy and dated. Everything is clean but you get the feeling the management are a bit mean, things like both days we only got one set of towels when there were clearlty two of us and bathroom amenties must be collected at reception. And can you believe that in the restaurant if you order steak the sauce is £1.95 extra!!! |
