I didn't particularly care for the Dorian, but my husband thought it was absolutely fine. I felt the person in charge at the time of our weekend stay wasn't exactly accommodating. The first morning we arrived for breakfast and were promptly told to leave the room as we were 5 minutes too early and in any event the staff were late (we could have at least made a start on cereal and the like!!). Also when we came to check out we were told we would have to wait as breakfasts were still being served. Our departure time was therefore delayed. On the plus side, the lady who welcomed us was extremely pleasant and very helpful, and the location to the town was within walking distance. The place was also very clean and tidy and well maintained. |

Beautiful hotel. We felt very welcome. Good food... peaceful enviroment. Only thing I wasn't impressed by was the steep driveway parking! That's only because I'm terrible at hill starts. Aside from that, I'd recommend this hotel wholeheartedly. |

The breakfast was really good, plenty of choice and the quality great - the girls were helpful. Peter was friendly, although rather short at the start. When I arrived he showed me how to use the TV, and when I returned the screen had turned yellow and there was no volume. He was rather accusing that I had done something to it - but this was possibly due to experience of other guests. We were in room 9 which was downstairs. Although a great room, it was particularly noisy as you could hear all the guests in the breakfast room, and was quite dark. The shower was incredibly weak but the bed was very comfortable. |
