Po Box 6, Inverness Shire

A nature lover's paradise set in 35 acres of peaceful silver birchwood between the Cairngorm Mountains and the temperate coast of the Moray Firth. Lochanhully is a small secluded resort, with its own trout lochan (lake) and is situated close to Loch Garten where magnificent ospreys can be seen nesting in the Spring. The most impressive aspect of this resort was the friendly and helpful staff. Everyone we came in contact with made us feel welcome and at home. The chalet itself was very basic but fine for a couple of nights. The bunk beds are very high and narrow, so we were boring parents and wouldn't allow our 6 year old to sleep on top bunk in case he fell out, so mum slept in bunk bed and son in comfy double bed with dad! The menu in the restaurant was quite basic but the food was tasty and freshly cooked. Ducks walking past chalet and nice walks around the resort were lovely. We'd come again for a short break.

Nice place spoilt as all lodges allow animals.Would be a good idea for some lodges to be animal free.
