The San Gallo Hotel is located in a small characteristic campo (square), called San Gallo or Rusolo, very close to St Mark’s Square (50 metres). Its accommodation capacity (12 rooms) accounts for its family management and the special treatment reserved for its clientèle. All the rooms are furnished in the Venetian style and are provided with bathroom/shower/toilet, hairdryer, mini-bar with fridge, direct dial telephone, satellite TV and air conditioning. Moreover, there is a characteristic flowery terrace on the top floor, where one can relax and enjoy breakfast during the hottest months of the year.

From the Tronchetto parking area, Piazzale Roma or the railway station, catch Waterbus n.82 that goes to San Marco through Canal Grande. Get off at San Marco stop and take the way left, "Calle Vallaresso". At the end of this Calle turn right and after 50 meters you will find Saint Mark's Square. Walk under the porticos on the left, take the second on the left which is called "Sottoportego Del Cavalletto", you will find Hotel San Gallo after 50 meters.

    Hard to enjoy a room with wall to wall drapes! The carpet was very dirty and sticky.
    Location was great, but too many steps to get to the hotel after a day tramping around Venice

    As with most places in Venice there was no lift and two flights of steps to get to the hotel, but we knew this when we booked and for us it wasnt a problem. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. On arrival they gave us a map of the city and pointed out the best sights and modes of transport to get to each of them. No matter what time of day or night they were always happy to make a cup of tea or coffee if you wanted one.The breakfast consisted of cereal, fruit yoghurt bread rolls toast and croissants with a selection of cheeses and pate, fruit juce and tea or coffee, very filling as you could have as much as you liked. The room itself was very small but very comfortable and as about the only time we were in the room was to sleep, it was more than adequate. I would be happy to stay here again.
