Great staff but room was the loft room and quite pokey with a very small bathroom. Up 3 flights of stairs ( one steep) restricted this room to those fully fit! We had a dog with us and expected to leave him in his dog cage in our estate car but were warned against this due to dogs being stolen from cars so he went up the stairs as well! Lovely dining room but only the Edwardian banquet on a sat night which I expect would be great but not if you have been travelling since early hours. The great staff bring it up to a good 3 star but not a 4. |

The resteraunt food quality is excellent. All the staff go out of their way to make your stay very, very pleasant & civilised. Although I am sure the staff would make every effort it is not in my opinion a family with younger children orientated sort of hotel. Having said that I think the hotel appeals to all adult age groups. |

Good hotel and very convenient for the railway station (5 - 10 min walk). Quiet location. Great food for breakfast. Excellent customer service - nothing was too much trouble. |
