A wonderful hotel. We had an executive room, which was very nice and had all the facilities we could have wanted. There was a pianist playing in the bar in the evening. Drinks a bit pricey but then you expect it in hotel bars. Right next door to the Railway Station. Can't comment on the food. As we were in Derby visiting family we ate with them rather than at the hotel. |

Excellent value, clean large room, just what I was looking for in a Hotel. Dinner was good too, traditional fare. |

Great location right next to the train station but hotel is very dated, still good condition but old fashioned (including menus - though I didn't eat there) Check-in staff not very friendly. |

The room was impossibly hot even though it was a cool and wet weekend. I can only assume that this is related to the very hot water provided as there appeared to be no other source for the heat, which could not be controlled by opening windows and keeping a fan running all night. I would not advise anyone to stay at this hotel without assurance that this problem has been resolved. |
