Rooms had been recently refurbished with first rate fittings and finish. Single room was difficult to find and slightly awkward to access. Beautifull dining room and staff could not have been more helpful.

I had already visited this hotel but if I had not known it I would have struggled to make best use of its excellent facilities as these were not explained on arrival. It was busy and reception staff weere pressed so not sure how this could be solved. Possibly an etour as I discovered by chance that there is a room for computer access.
I enjoyed the improvements that have been made to the hotel since I last visited some years ago and think they are an excellent enhancement to what was already a great facility.
I was aware that departure was 11am and that we overshot by a few minutes but did not appreciate the slightly officious way we were reminded of this by someone who opened our door at 11am prompt and asked if we were leaving- I think she would have this information.
reminded me of some B and B landladies who make it clear they want you out as soon as possible- I expected hotel staff to be better trained in customer care. First impressions were good but last impressions stick.

pillowcase was stained, rubbish left in bathroom, shower sprayed all over bathroom, 11am checkout seems mean, rooms need updating
