Right in the heart of Edinburgh, The Barcelo Edinburgh Carlton Hotel is just a few minutes walk from Waverley train station and within easy access of famous monuments and historic attractions. 189 well designed, spacious and very comfortable bedrooms with en suite bathrooms including unique continental made Bette baths. The Carlton health and leisure club is unusually spacious for a city centre hotel. Equipped with a swimming pool, spa, solarium, new steam room, gym, aerobics and fitness studio, squash courts, table tennis, crèche and hair and beauty salon. The Bridge Restaurant offers quality dining and fine wines. Less formal, the Bridge Bar and lounge areas provide a selection snacks. Car parking available locally.

Very central location and easy and helpful with parking the car. Disappointed that the bathroom shampoos were not replenished for our second night and the towels replaced but other than that a very pleasant stay and the staff were very helpful.

I felt that this time the room i had was a little scruffy, the carpet was wrinkled, marks on bed cover and paint peeling in one corner of room.
