The resturant and breakfast in the hotel was excellent. However I was really disappointed in the room itself. It was clean ill give you that, but for the proce we paid for an excutive double room was unbelievable! The bathroom looked like it hadn't been updated since the 1980's and the bed was so old my husband and myself rolled together in the middle. The bed was just within the parameters of being classed as a double bed as it was smaller than the bed at home. The room size was good, however the noise of people running up and down the corridor was awful. It was very hot when we arrived in out room and struggled to open the window.
I was really disappointed in the hotel as we had gone there for the night following our wedding as we thought it was a decent hotel, I will not be returning any time soon.

The hotel was extremely cold with no room controlled heating, portable heaters, and the heating had broken in the hotel. Portable heaters should be kept on site to provide for such problems in such an old hotel.
The food although lovely, was limited on room service dinner, when i asked for something not on the menu (but on the main restaurant menu) it was refused. Not a great demonstration of upselling - what i wanted was about £10.00 more expensive.
Room service breakfast gives you 2 choices - both were served incorrectly. Skip room service breakfast if you want to start your day with a full stomach.
1 employee was particularly unhelpful, however one was attempting to go the extra mile to assist. A big contrast in guest care.
The hotel could be beautiful, but is tired and in need of refurbishment.

One would hope the quality of the reception followed over into the rooms, however this is not the case. Having said that building work was visible so hopefully this is being attended to.

Very clean and friendly, excellent location easy to find. The price was excellent value for money and will definately stay again
