HOTEL DE KENT

I was very disappointed with this hotel; especially as it was advertised as a 3* hotel. The ensuite consisted of small bath and no shower curtain. The plug was also blocked so the water did not drain away, I believe this was a hotel-wide plumbing issue as we overheard other guests with shower complaining their bathroom flooded. We tried to raise our complaints with the reception but little interest was shown in rectifying the situation. The room was also not particularly clean or comfortable for a 3*. It was however well located near to Old Nice and Beachfront. I do not consider it value for money though!

Easy to find and central to Nice, yet not too noisy. Friendly staff. Carpet in room was not clean. The full room rates were about 90 Euro, so we suspected that the "late room" rate meant we got a substandard room they couldn't rent otherwise. This one wasn't worth the 60 or so we paid as we proved later with a better hotel round the corner for a little less.

Great location is about the best thing going for this hotel. 2 minute walk from great bars and restaurants. We only paid €85 euro for the room, so can't complain too much. You get what you pay for. Noisy street to be on, the air conditioning is a BIG motorised box that you plug in and the shower is one that is held above the head! I would stay here again if on a budget, but would like to see the other options. If you do go, prepare yourself for the lift, which is something out of the early 1900's!

The hotel is a little old and not recently refreshed... But it in the very heart of the city, near rue massena (shops, etc.) , 2 min. walking from the "vieille ville". The personnel is very kind and will give you any kind of informations.
Very, very nice for the price (not the whole price, theat's a bit too high - as for other hotels in Nice, on the otherside - but the Laterooms.com's one!!!).
