My impession of the hotel was mixed. I did get a smoking room as requested (A big + these days) and the staff was very friendly. I ate in the restearant once with a big family group and the food and service was excellent. On the down side the room was very small for a couple and there was a problem with the heating. It was very, very warm in the room, so much so it was difficult to sleep. A fan was provided in place of the A.C, but it was not adaquate. Also lack of hotel parking was a inconvienience |

I read several reviews of this hotel before staying there and was a little worried, but the hotel was actually fine. The hotel looks and feels like a good quality hotel when in the lobby and bar/restaurant, but the rooms and corriders really need refurbishment. The room was quite small but clean and adequate. As other reviews have said, I would have been disappointed had I paid the full advertised price, but at 71.gbp for a central Manchester hotel it was fine. |

The staff at the hotel that we encountered were all helpful and friendly, but the quality of the rooms was poor. The bed was comfortable and the linen and towels were clean but the rooms themselves were shoddy. There was wallpaper hanging off the walls, the curtains did not close properly, the carpets and bathroom floor were dirty, the mirror in the bathroom was coming apart, the rooms were cramped and the walls were waiver thin. Sorry but not the best experience and one i will not repeat. |
