The hotel did not come up to the expectations suggested by the publicity. Whilst it is undoubtedly an attractive and superficially well appointed hotel, the general impression is that it is trading on its image and olde english elegance. It was apparent that bar staff were in short supply and staff overworked, although service was polite and good humoured. Our room was in the basement at the bottom of less than attractve stairs and at the end of a very plain corridor. It was comfortable but it was gloomy and the view was of a grass bank. I expected more from the flagship De Vere hotel.

Highly impressive building, like wise the rooms. Very clean and tidy. Good food nad not ridiculous prices either. Great value if you can get it on a deal too.
