we were origionally given a room that was already occupied although this was sorted out by the staff who were very appologetic. the bathroom was in a poor state, the toilet banging against the wall every time it was used and the shower looking like it needed a good clean. the hotel looked grubby and in need of redecoration. breakfast was greasy and below average and i think there are better hotels to stay in for the money.

The hotel room was adequate, the staff friendly enough, the breakfast did the job and it was low-cost - but I would never stay at this hotel again because of the noise. I would also recommend that you stay elsewhere - outside Nottingham city centre. As soon as the pubs chucked out until the very early hours of the morning (4am) the noise was relentless. I don't mean the sound of chattering and footsteps, I mean people yelling, fighting and screaming - even threatening to stab each other. I had a really busy day the next day and was struggling to concentrate because I was exhausted. I definitely would not stay there again. Surely the hotel owners - an international company - can afford to invest in double glazing!
