The 3 course meal booked turned out to be a bar meal. A tiny piece of processed fish and a mountain of greasy chips. |

The room was ok but compact. I was given a double which was fine for one but wouldn't have liked it for 2. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. My only complaint was the evening meal situation. I had booked adeal for DBB and a half bottle of wine in either the resaurant or the lounge menu. When I came down for dinner I was told that the restaurant wasn't open in the evenings at the moment. This would have been fine apart from the seating arrangements in the lounge. It had armchairs with coffee tables . . . not an easy way to eat a 3 course meal! |

this hotel does not even have adequate plumbing and want you to use a bin for paper rather than the toilet!! |

I was worried having read the previous reviews, but have stayed at a lot worse hotels for more money in Northampton. Despite previous comments, I found the staff attentive and friendly and woudl have no hesitation in staying there again. |

After readibg the past reviews of this hotel (after I made my booking)I have to confess at being a little worried. However I was pleasantly surprised. The room was spacious and clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. Tho only letdown was the quality of the breakfast in particular the scrambled egg. Get this right and you have cracked it. In short do not be put off by the comments if they were accurate the hotel has certainly upped its game. Bear in mind though that if you want holiday inn quality then pay holiday in prices. This was great for the price. |
