Tea pot was uncleaned!

The hotel rooms are looking very tired and the bathrooms have black mould around the bath. Paint is flaking from doors and ceilings, generally showing it's age now.
Menu needs specials adding or changing more regularly

The general service and staff helpfulness etc was good overall and I would have no problem staying here again, but some kind of improvement strategy is needed to bring the hotel up to the standards of other De Vere hotels we have used in the past.
The only comments I would make are that the rooms we were allocated were 'tired' in appearance and were in need of attention. This also applied to other areas of the hotel although not all.
The hotel generally appears to be in need of a refurbishment of some description.

Booked room at a cheap 'half term special' rate for 1 night, called the night before to say we'd be checking in late and got a free room ugrade too! Staff at check-in were friendly, room spacious, clean, lovely modern decor and a great ensuite. Gym/pool facilities good- only one other person in gym. Would definitely stay again, especially at offer rates.
