I have spent 30 years staying in hotels and this was one of my most memorable experiences. Quite brilliant in every way with excellent motivated and polite staff. Breathtaking. Mike Vaudin.

Very easy to get to, only 30 minutes from Glasgow. Service and hospitality excellent - although do book the restaurant and note it closes early - we arrived at 21:30 to be told it was fully booked and no other restaurant in the complex would take orders after this time. Not great after a long drive up there but we managed to get them to bring us a pizza in the room - which was good. Overall an excellent place, highly recommended and we will go back again.

We were spoilt from start to finish, was my partners birthday, were upgraded to Suite, given wine and chocolates in room and had breakfast in room all at no extra expense staff were cheerful and friendly and spa of hotel was superb, we did have issues only small ones with regards, not getting breakfast on time and then wrong breakfast and no newspaper, but the rest was amazing cant wait to go back, the hotel have some great deals coming up start of next year will be going back no question

This was out first visit to the Cameron House Hotel, and to be honest it will be our last. I'm not sure if there is a difference in the way guests are treated when they book with Late Rooms as opposed to booking direct with the hotel. We encountered a few problems.
Firstly, we were supposed to have free bottled water - this never materialised. Secondly, the cafetiere hadn't been emptied since the last guests had used it so a call had to be made to have this emptied and replaced. This is a 5 star hotel, this shouldn't be missed.
The room was supposed to have a trouser press and a telephone in the bathroom (2 things that we didn't need - but neither were there).
We were entitled to a morning newspaper and we were told this would be The Scotsman - we stayed for 3 nights and on the final morning a Glasgow Herald was delivered - this may sound picky - but why say one thing and then deliver another.
Two wine glasses were on the table for our arrival - we had our own drinks with us and when putting our wine in the glasses noticed that both had traces of lipstick on them - again for a 5 star establishment this should not be something to put up with.
All 3 mornings at breakfast and I had to check about 4 or 5 glasses before I found a clean one for my fresh orange, again not the standard I would expect from this place.
Check-in was also an issue, we realised that we were getting a "bargain" deal - but we were still spending almost £450 for our stay. According to Late Rooms the room we had was valued at £350 per night - why then on our arrival were we asked if we wanted an upgrade for an extra £50 per night. £350 is not the lowest price for rooms at The Cameron House but I have a feeling that we were not in a room valued at £350 - I know this is difficult to prove, but something just didn't ring true, hence the reason I thing customers using Late Rooms are being short changed and not given what is described.
The last problem, and an important one, we chose this hotel because we were advised that there was a pool. When we arrived we were told that this was closed due to refurbishment. There was nothing on Late Rooms web site or on Cameron House web site advising that this was the case. we were very disappointed to hear that we couldn't use it and the nearest pool was a bus ride away with an hourly bus service. Again not very convenient or honest.
Sorry I can't recommend this place, the hotel is a lovely hotel, the location is ideal, but these problems we encountered left us feeling that this place is not value for money and not a 5 star establishment.
I will be writing direct to DeVere Group to let them know of my concerns. I hope anyone else using this hotel gets a better standard of serviceand value for money than we did.
