Easy to find and quite attractive looking. Furnishing in public areas is good, modern, clean and attractive. Rooms are separate from public areas, lodge style but close by. Bit of a mix up with room allocations, booked a double was allocated a twin. Reception weren't particularly interested. Kept at it though and were allocated a double eventually, even after being told earlier that they were full and that no doubles were available. Food was good in terms of options, bar, table de hote etc. Three courses = £18 pp and not bad quality. Unfortunately breakfast was not to the same standard, okay but not great quality ingredients, temperature or cooking. It was busy, there were a large number of people taking breakfast but as a venue this is probably likely to be the norm rather than the exception. Overall a pretty good place to stay, probably bit pricey for what you get. |

Outside looks a bit off putting (looks like a cheap motel) but the entrance hall and room very acceptable for the price. Staff very helpful and friendly. Evening meal excellent quality, breakfast large choice. If some of the tired looking areas around the hotel were tidied up and a new sign erected it could be a real value for money competitor to the large budget hotel groups |
