Fairly good location. Only downside to our stay (Sept 08) was that the bar wasn't open, this was a shame as it's nice to be able to relax with a drink/coffee in the evening before or after going out for the evening. |

We stayed in the newest building at the Albany and the room was stunning. Lovely linens, lovely decoration, beautiful fixings in the bathroom, high celings, fresh and bright. Though staying in the new addition meant some "kinks" that needed fixing, like the some electrical outlets not working and the toilet not flushing properly. Overall, for such beautiful surroundings and a perfect location, these issues were minor. The continental breakfast was wonderful! The selection was plentiful, and the room overlooking the gardens enhanced the meal. Even on the day we had to miss breakfast because we were leaving early, we were able to take some fruit and pastries with us when we left at 7am. The location of the hotel couldn't be better- easy walking distance to the old town, yet much more polished and safe-feeling by staying in new town. The front desk was a bit slow, but we were always greeted with a smile. By the way, excellent Polish restaurant at the end of Albany St, on Broughton St, named Pani Solinska- try it! |
