Stayed in outside room, very US motel style but clean and a good size. Very good price compared to others in Chester. Fair old walk into city centre (20mins) though. Got a good deal at Castra Brasserie at the hotel, 2 x 3 course meals including bottle of wine for £25 and food was good. Lively little bar in hotel and what looks like a big guest house next door is actually a massive pub. |

The hotel was easy to find and I checked in with no problem. The staff were friendly and courteous, and the room itself was neat and clean with a good shower. I only had one evening meal there but it was very good, as were the inclusive breakfasts. The centre of Chester was a short £5 taxi ride away, and there were always taxis available within minutes. I will certainly be staying here the next time I visit, and would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. |

The room was ok, the bathroom door would'nt open but someone came quickly to fix it. there was a loud rattling noise outside the back sounded like guttering. the price of the room was a bit steep for the quality of the hotel and that did'nt including breakfast that was another £7.50 each so I went out and found somewhere cheeper for breakfast. I won't be returning there again. |
