The Kings Head Hotel

The staff were extremely friendly and lovely to deal with. The food at the hotel was excellent. The rooms were perfectly adequate if a little on the warm side during the night. Also my mattress was a little squidgy - could have been a tad firmer! All in all, a delightful stay and highly recommended.

Apart from being incredibly tricky to navigate to due to Ross-on-Wye's crazy one-way system, this hotel was fantastic.
There are a lot of stairs and confusing doors, but it was quite fun finding our room. We stayed in room 16 and from outside the room, it looks like it's going to be like some sort of retro B&B room inside, but it's as good, if not better than any 3*, with fantastic toiletries and a selection of drinks on the complimentary tray (plus biscuits).
Bed was also HUGE, which we loved! I think we're going to revisit this place.
One more thing, restaurant was shut by 9:15pm, but I think it would have remained open longer if we'd made a reservation. Shame as menu looked amazing.

Remeber it is an old pub and the floors creak at night-Not suitable for disabled persons on 2nd and third floors.[Stairs too steep} Otherwise for the price you cant fault it. Food, and location execleent. New decor in rooms.
