George Hotel of Stamford

Love it here, have stayed loads of times, are going back again soon.

A wonderful hotel, lovely open, wood burning fires in the lounge and reception areas. We had a "Suite Room" and it more than met our expectations. The decor was lovely, very clean, large and warm. We eat in the garden room of the hotel and the food was wonderful with again beautiful surroundings. I would fully recommend this hotel to anyone, well done "The George".

A great stay. Lovely hotel, great room, fantastic traditional service and a great price Will definitely return.

Overall the hotel is a delight on the main road in Stamford; drawback is traffic in morning with room on front of hotel.
Our main shower had problem re hot water which could not be reduced but otherwise room was excellent/
Restaurant particularly breakfast was superb, interior decorated with baskets of flowers.
Inner courtyards and small gardens pictoresque with bedding plants and baskets.
Highly recommend re service and opportunity to relax.

a very old hotel some areas looking a little dated and tired but generally what you would expect from a place of this style and age
