This hotel had apparently only been open for 3 weeks at the time of our arrival. Clearly a lot of thought has gone into the design of the rooms - which were of a decent size (given a £55/night hotel), clean, comfortable and well appointed. No wardrobe - but how many folk would stay here for more than a few nights - and the funky device on the wall for hanging clothes was more than adequate. The bathroom was a decent size, brilliant power shower and lots of HOT water. Some nice touches too, like no stupid shelf to bang your head on whilst trying to wash/shave. Great funky mirrors too. Plasma TV with dozens of channels, including lots of music channels. My room was in the adjacent building which was pretty quiet, despite overlooking the alley to the back of the Italian & Thai restaurants next door. Great value for money and very good staff - up for a chat at whatever hour you are getting back in. It's trying to appeal to the business crowd, which it ought to do well at. I was there for leisure, with small group of guys, shooting at the nearby Southern Counties ground. The only disappointing thing about the trip was the struggle to find a decent pint of real ale in Yeovil! |

If your going to Yeovil i would strongly recommend the city lodge. I arrived with an exhausted 11 year old after travelling since easrly morning, we got a fantastic friendly welcome. the room was just what wed hoped for, near the back of the building 2 queen sized beds, coffee making facilities, plasma screen tv, and heat (we were soaked). Huge bathroom with full sized bath and shower. |

the location of the hotel is great, right in the town centre but the room was so noisy with and extremely load noise every time some one used the bathroom, constant traffic noise from the road outside, drunken people coming back to there rooms early hours of the morning. This hotel also doesnt provide breakfast inclusive which is dissapointing.having stayed in other hotels in yeovil for the same price i was dissapointed and wouldnt choose to stay there again, you can get more for your money elsewhere. |

The hotel is very comfortable, clean and staff very helpful. The room was a little on the small side as was the bathroom. The extra touches like hospitality tray, freeview tv and internet access were useful although It would have been nice to get a cooked breakfast. The lack of parking could have been an issue but we used the multi plex car park at night. |
