My husband and found the hotel easily, follwoing the given directions, and we were pleasantly surprised at how very clean and comfortable the room was. We had no reason to complain at all. The food left for breakfast was more than adequate, and the whole deal was very good value for money. We would definitely stay again.

The owners did everything they could to make sure our stay was as comfortable and stress free as possible. We were traveling from Brighton via London and did not feel under pressure to arrive by a certain time or check out early. The pub next door was lovely as well! I would definitely stay here again and recommend it!

There was no-one in the office when I arrived, apparently the owner/manager was at home. I phoned him and then had to wait in the car for a while until he arrived and when he did so he had left the office keys at home and had to go back home again to get them. He was extremely affable and customer focused. The downstairs room was very clean and presentable. It had a window with a lock, but the window was not locked, and there was no key, which was particularly an issue as I was a woman and staying alone. The manager got me another key when I asked for one. I could not lock the window lock with the key as the mechanism was too stiff but the manager did it for me. One of the lamps did not work, but when I asked, the manager found me another light bulb, but the lamp still did not work so he gave me a different lamp, which subsequently flickered on and off, and made the TV flicker on and off too. I gave up and turned it off from the socket. I informed the manager who said he would call an electrician the following day (I was only staying for one night). The TV remote was held together with sticky tape and did not work. I told the manage who got me another one. One of the tea & coffee mugs had water in the bottom, the kettle was stained and discoloured inside. The bed squeaked. The front door screeched, which was just as well as the lock on the door only worked when the door was open not shut, which meant I could not lock it when I went to bed. An otherwise OK room was let down by very poor quality control.
