The Glenbourne offers quality bed and breakfast accommodation. The resident owner/proprietors are Jean & Brian Hart and offer a warm welcome to their clean and comfortable family run hotel.
Ideally situated in the beautiful Alum Chine area with a 5 minute walk to the beach.
Placed roughly half way between Bournemouth and Poole there are plenty of opportunities for day and evening entertainment, shops and eating places. There is also a wide selection of restaurants in Westbourne and nearby.
The guests' lounge has a tv with video/dvd player and an XBox 360.
Rooms have either a bath or shower or shower over bath. There are singles, twin, doubles, triple and family rooms with double and single bed/beds (no bunks.) Child rates apply to children aged 12 or below.
Car parking available. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel.

From the A338 continue to the County Gates Gyratory (at Westbourne) and turn south along the B3065 (The Avenue). Continue approx 0.3 mile to the 1st set of traffic lights. Turn left into Western Road then at the 1st roundabout take the 3rd exit into Alumhurst Road (going south). The Glenbourne Hotel is approx 0.5 miles on the left hand side of the road just after Beaulieu Road. There is a bus stop right outside the hotel.

I booked the superior single room and it was a little small but ok for what i needed, the shower worked well which was what I was hoping for. A friend of mine booked a normal single room and their room looked bigger and better than mine but it was a hand held shower facility rather than one on the wall - so I was very glad I had my room. The owners were really friendly and my scrambled eggs on toast was ready promptly at 8am, which is earlier than their official breakfast tiem of 8:30. The location is perfect, just a mile from Westbourne which has numerous pubs, wine bars, cafes and a really good Indian Restaurant. The only thing the hotel lacked in my opinion was a wifi connection / broadband access. Overall, it was quiet, friendly, clean and in a great location. Nothing too fancy but just what I needed and excellent value for money. And I was able to park right in front of the hotel.

the duvet was very thin, and ,as the heating wasn't on, I was cold. I could have done with a another blanket. I am not sure what entails a 'hotel' and whether or not they are entitled to call themselves a hotel. The sausage served with the 'english breakfast' seemed to be a wiener or something of the cereal compilation. However, the landlords were very friendly and the place clean.
