Los Jándalos Jérez & Spa

Spacious, attractive rooms but slightly disappointing overall!
We booked this place last minute for the last 2 nights of our honeymoon. The weather forecast was rubbish so we deliberatlely chose a place with good spa facilities. After a stressful (but wonderful) wedding + Andalucia roadtrip we needed some massage and TLC. We realised when we arrived that the spa + treatment centre is only open forlimited hours each day and closed entirely Sunday PM and Tuesdays. (We stayed Sun-Tue) We did manage to book massages and 1 hour "thermal circuit" (jacuzzis + sauna in varying orders) for Monday evening. Verdict? Pleasant, but by no means expert massage. I wouldn't visit this hotel for its spa, but if you're in Jerez and its bucketing down rain, you could while away some time there.
We only had breakfast, no other meals there. Buffet - unremarkable.
We had a junior suite which was spacious, comfortable and nicely decorated. Only 1 closet though, not enough hanging space!
The TV only had CNN and BBC world in English (I wouldn't normally care, again - raining a lot! )
Unfortunately we didn't find the staff too friendly. It might've been just one guy though. We decided to venture out rain and all and asked if they had any umbrellas we could borrow. He gave us one tiny one ,making careful note of our room number. When we asked if he had another one or a bigger one he replied quite snottily that those were needed for the other guests. (There were approximately 0 people at breakfast that morning) We just went out and bought one in the end. Perhaps they've had a spate of umbrella-theft incidents in the past, who knows?
