We arrived at the Dunromin to be greeted by the owner Dot who was a lovely lady. She made us most welcome and nothing was too much trouble. The room was clean and tidy and even had freeview TV. In the evening we went into the bar for a few drinks before going out there we met Dot's partner Ray and other members of her family. They made us feel most welcome and we felt like part of the family! They recommended a really good bar where we went onto later and had an enjoyable evening. In the morning we had a lovely cooked breakfast and again nothing was too much trouble for Dot and Ray. This is somewhere we plan on going back to and would highly recommend it to others. |

This guest house was clean and fairly small. The rooms have very small televisions in them, however, our bedroom did have a small en-suite as well. Everything worked in the room as well. The landlady was friendly, we did not see the landlord during our stay as he was in the kitchen in the mornings. The breakfasts were fairly large, however, the sausage and bacon seemed like they had almost been steamed as opposed to fried and were a bit anemic (not to our liking). We did not use the bar, as it had only a very small TV set and we never saw anybody else in there. If you want a room for the night in a clean hotel with a friendly landlady, then this is the place for you. if you want somewhere that you can chat in the evenings, have a drink and watch some telly, then this is not it. |
