Just 15 minutes from Florence Situated on the outskirts of a quaint village by the name of Impruneta, the Relais Villa l'Olmo is perched on a hill dotted with grey olive trees, overlooking the Chianti valley. Lying a mere 10 kilometres from the city of Florence and its airport, a 10-minute drive from the main road to Siena and from the A1 motorway linking Milan to Rome, this is the ideal location for relaxing in the Tuscan countryside without forfeiting the chaotic bustle of Florence. While the city can be reached by public transportation every 30 minutes, the village centre is a 5-minute stroll from the Relais, where the Tuscan culinary delicacies can be savoured in typical trattorias. WAY DESCRIPTION: Highway A1 : Milan – Bologna - Florence – (after Florence North please follow the highway further on direction Rome “Roma”; if -on the other hand- you are coming from Rome, than after the sign Florence South, proceed in direction of Bologna). Highway exit : FIRENZE CERTOSA (coming from Milan this exit is located after Firenze Nord and Firenze Scandicci in direction of Rome; coming from Rome this exit is located after Florence South in direction of Bologna). Immediately after the highway exit “Firenze Certosa” there is a big traffic circle – please go straight on and take the direction of TAVARNUZZE/GREVE. As soon as you enter TAVARNUZZE pls. turn left (there is already a blue sign indicating IMPRUNETA and there is a car-mechanist on your left side as well). Follow the direction-signs to IMPRUNETA (ca. 6 km. you will pass also a village called Bagnolo). At approximately 200 meters after the village sign “Impruneta” and after a gas-station called “Shell” on your left, there is a small (non-asphalted) path on your right – there is also a sign “Relais Villa l’Olmo”. There you are - the Relais is on your left side. WAY DESCRIPTION FROM FLORENCE RAILWAY STATION: 1) If you are going to take the bus (called CAP), you will catch it outside the railway-station, near McDonald’s at the corner called Largo Alinari, in front of Cap office (there is a blue sign at the bus-stop in which there is written CAP). In the working-days there is one which runs every 20 or 30 minutes and you have to stop in Impruneta, at the first bus stop after the gas station “Shell”. We are next to the FIAT TUTTAUTO carshop. 2) If you are going to rent a car, you have to follow the direction “Porta Romana” From here you can follow: - to the street called Viale del Poggio Imperiale; you have to follow all signs to IMPRUNETA. Entering Impruneta you will see our restaurant “I Cavallacci” on your right side. Please follow the street until the small traffic circle (in front you will see TUTTAUTO car dealer). Turn to the right and immediately to your left where you will note already the signs “Relais Villa l’Olmo”. There we are ! OR - to the street called Via Senese (the road that connects Florence to Siena). You have to follow this road until you will find a big traffic circle, where on your right you will have the highway A1 exit FIRENZE CERTOSA, but you will turn left (direction Tavarnuzze). As soon as you will enter TAVARNUZZE pls. turn to your left (there is already a blue sign indicating IMPRUNETA and there is a car-mechanist on your left side as well). Follow the direction signs to IMPRUNETA. At approximately 200 meters after the village sign “Impruneta” there is the gas station called Shell on your left and after 30 m. a small (non-asphalted) path on your right – there is also a sign “Relais Villa l’Olmo”.
