Gatwick Cambridge Hotel

Used the hotel as Park & Fly - Charged extra on top of the LateRooms price for the extra parking (fair enough) - about £5 a day. Booked directly the hotel offer some park and fly packages - would be nice if they offered the packages through laterooms too.
Some previous comments are about the hotel being decorated - looks like this is now complete - rooms all clean and tidy

Very comfortable hotel room. Convenient location for airport and courtesy bus.
Only fault was the need to climb stairs with heavy luggage.

Caution- hotel take full credit card payment when booking through laterooms rather than taking the details only to secure the reservation. Laterooms need to change their info! The hotel is clean, well presented and rooms themselves are fine. I liked the food but it is too expensive for what it is in our opinion. They are still doing the bread roll thing! Our group had three rooms all with poorly fitting single glazed windows. Two at the front faced the road and one at the back was over the kitchen area. The front ones suffer from a lot of road noise particularly from 4 am and the other from domestic/kitchen noise all night. Little or no sleep in all three rooms. Need to be profoundly deaf or take ear plugs to stay in the rooms we had. Seriously, even with ear plugs in I had to put a pillow over my upper ear to get even a little sleep!

Hotel warm but room extremely cold. Service good with excellent shuttle service. Kitchen closed early on Sunday with no food options other than crisps. Recent refurb but en suite 'pampas' and dated. Breakfast a little under cooked. Payment taken on credit card with out my authority; also included colleagues room as I has booked both so we had to stop at an ATM to obtain cash etc. The card details are given on the web page but only as a guarantee.
