Clough Manor

Rochdale Road Denshaw, Saddleworh, Oldham

High Style, it’s the last thing you expect in a hotel way up on the Lancashire moors. And the first thing that strikes you at Clough Manor (or the second, if the helicopter is parked in the garden); the stylish, contemporary décor that wouldn’t be out of place in the most uber-trendy urban bar.
It’s just the first surprise of many. And just one of a hundred things that makes our hotel so unique.
Minimal design, maximum comfort. The chic, contemporary theme continues with carefully coordinated colours and the best in European inspired design being applied to our accommodation through or on-going programme of upgrades.
En-suite facilities come as standard with every room, and feature cool granite surfaces, sleek, stylish bathroom furniture and ultra modern chrome accessories.

The staff were really friendly and the hotel was nice, modern and clean.
Food in the resaurant was reasonably priced and really fantastic - I'd definitely come back here if I was in the area again.
My room was large, comfortable and clean. Only not-so-great thing was the bathroom - it was new and clean but the sealant around the bath wasn't done properly, the toilet was set so high up the wall that my feet barely touched the floor and the plug in the sink didn't work so I couldn't empty it.
I really enjoyed my stay here and would definitely come back - when you're a business traveller 3 things matter to you, friendly staff, comfortable room and nice food. This hotel ticks all the boxes.

Staff were excellent. We had a meal in their restaurant but sadly we had no choice as there was only one meal for vegetarian's (seven choices for meat/fish eaters). We really enjoyed our stay but didn't like the patio window - great to have access to some outside space, but no good for overnight ventilation.

Quite noisy during the night - creaking doors, people moving around etc. Vegetables were expensive extras in the restaurant, although the food & service were good. Great breakfast. WiFi signal low in the room & unable to access hotmail fully, but general surfing was ok.

I had a re-vamped room (16) and it was lovely. Colleagues were not so lucky but the rooms were all large, clean and comfortable. The public rooms are modern & chic and the meal was fantastic! A great rural location but only 30 minutes into Oldham. B & B Excellent value, although the restaurant is not cheap. My only concern is the patio doors from the bedroom to the garden (although I am sure they are lovely during the day ) meant there was no window to open over night. I stay in hotels all over the country & would highly recommend Clough Mannor.

A hotel which has obviously worked very hard at refurbishment and quality of food. Our room was big, clean and tastefully decorated but the bathroom let it down somewhat - the shower was not of the quality advertised in some of the photographs. Perhaps booking through Late rooms means that you don't get the 'better quality accomodation'?.
STRENGTHS: location / restaurant / refurbishment of public areas / clean / an extremely comfortable 3* hotel making it good value for money
AREAS FOR IMPROVEMENT:
* a warmer welcome at reception
* the best quality room available
* a little more relaxed service in the restaurant
Would like to stay here again but in a room more like the ones in the photographs please.
