The Kings at the Queen

Nothing negative to be said, the whole experience was excellent

We stayed Thursday and Friday night in the Kings section. Room excellent and service, but even though we where on the 5th floor you could still clearly hear the music from the private party down on he ground floor. The music didn't stop till 1.00am. very tired the next morning.

We stayed at the new Kings rooms at the Queen hotel. The room was very comfortable and clean. We felt that the corridors linking the hotel and the hotel communal areas generally were cold for the time of year. The room has its own heating system so that was under our control. The air conditioning in the new part of the hotel was too cold. We also found that the Waiting Room bar in the hotel was also quite cold especially in the evening when a coat would have been needed to sit and have a drink.
We ate breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel. The lunch in the bar was very good and the dinner in the hotel was also excellent especially as they had large christmas dinner parties also on both nights we stayed. The service and attention were also excellent.
The breakfast we found was not of the same standard as the other food. The cold continental breakfast was adequate, but the cooked breakfast was greasy and there was not enough choice of food. Only one choice of cooked eggs is not an adequate standard for a four star hotel.
Overall the hotel was excellent but there was room for improvement in certain areas.

The only complaint I have is that the bath plug had to be screwed on before working. Otherwise the service was excellent.
